Dinner with Dolce & Gabbana

I have always enjoyed food! and no, this isn't turning into a food blog soon. I just wanted to share a fashion editorial from the pages of the April issue of Harper's Bazaar.

Featuring designer duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana of Dolce and Gabbana. The two throw an Italian feast for London's It girls.

Clockwise from top left: Jade Williams, Mary Charteris, Cara Delevigne, and Florrie Arnold.

Tali Lennox and Amber Le Bon

Lovely photos, right? Though I wouldn't suggest wearing your Dolce duds while eating pizza next time.

Fashion and Food isn't the best combination for some. Stains, Diets, just be careful with that spaghetti next time...

Get Back, Stay Back (Updated)

Get Back, Stay Back is one of the editorials in the sports issue of V Magazine (Oh, BTW it features an androgynous Jennifer Lopez on the cover, in a codpiece nonetheless). The fashion story stars the gorgeous Lara Stone, styled by Carine Rotfield, and Photography by Nick Knight.

It features Krav Maga which translates from Hebrew as 'contact combat': Krav (קרב) meaning 'battle' and Maga (מגע) meaning 'contact'. Krav Maga is a practical and realistic system which teaches how to prevent, avoid, deter, or deal with all kinds of violent threats and attacks, including those which involve weapons. Krav Maga educates people in the subjects of self defence, self protection, fighting and combat skills, as well as the skills to defend others. Krav Maga is taught in a unique and comprehensive manner and was developed in Israel under realistic conditions.

Brutal Chic / Power Dressing

Lara Stone is always stunning and in great fighting form. Lovely heels from Prada, too!

I love the combination of self defence and high fashion. Lara wore some serious Spring/Summer 2012 threads from Balenciaga, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Valentino and more.

You can see more of her in videos from SHOWstudio.

in Ralph Lauren's mint green evening gown

You can also watch a whole slew of video's from SHOWstudio's Youtube Channel. Below are some of my favorites.

March is also International Women's Month and this editorial is quite fitting, right?

Empowerment never looked this good!

Plus, here's a video from VMagazine's YoutubeChannel featuring Photographer Nick Knight.

Adele's Big Win

I haven't been blogging in a while, fine, in a loooong time. I don't wanna bore you with another Glee post. So what better way to celebrate 2012 (I told you I'm late) than with Adele.

Yup, that's her. Adele Laurie Blue AdkinsNot only did she has the most wonderful voice, she also gets credit for it. She had just won 6 Grammy's last weekend (Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year, etc.). I mean, she's won all categories where she is nominated!

As most would say, this is definitely her comeback. After some months of silence, literally, she's so back! She had a throat surgery which stopped her for a while. Her tour got cancelled, and she literally wasn't able to speak for some time. Also, she got called "a little too fat" by one Karl Lagerfeld. Yikes!

All that has past though. She's back and on the cover of Vogue's March 2012 issue.

Girl is definitely a looker! Though she was on the cover of other magazine, not one of them has shown this much of her. I mean, hello cleavage!

Here are some outakes from the magazine. Article can be found also here

She Who Must Be Loved

Amanda - She who must be loved. And how can you not love such a sweet young lady such as Amanda Seyfried.

My current Hollywood crush and I am soooo happy I found some images online for her cover and editorial on next month's Marie Claire US.

Although I might say, she does not have a perfect figure. (Though perfect really is boring!). The photos were taken by fashion photographer Marcus Ohlsson.

Lovely, isn't she?

I also found a video from WMagazine's Youtube channel. It's Lynn Hirschberg's Screen Test.

Harry Shum Jr.: The Man With No Bones

It's that time off the year again, not Christmas though (soon), but when Glee collides with fashion. This time, it's Harry Shum Jr. who plays "the other Asian", Mike Chang in the hit TV series.

For GQ's November issue, Harry dresses up for the winter season. Too bad, I am not a fan of winter, the coldest I can get is when I lower the temperature of the air conditioning unit. Not good for the environment, tsk tsk!

Anyway, here are his photos:

I love me some double breasted coats, but alas, it is never too cold in the tropics for these.

Great color! The red down vest really pops out against the gray flannel suit.

Gray and Beige always looks good together.

My favorite looks of the bunch! Print-on-print-on-print. The large argyle print on the sweater vest is paired with tiny gingham on the dress shirt. The stripe socks is just fun.

Please note that the parka is longer than the suit jacket.

Loving the red socks now, where can I buy me some of these?!?

The Moleskin suited Harry.

Hooray for corduroy wales!

And for the ladies:

Esquire Philippines Ball

Though I am not based in the Philippines anymore (for now), I am happy to say that I am still in the loop on what is happening around my home country. Thanks to various blogs and twitter!

Recently, Esquire Philippines Magazine was launched at the Manila Peninsula with guests ranging from Fashion Folks, Models, Editors, Celebrities, and Socialites. In my case, I wasn't in Manila at that time. And even if I was, I don't think I'll be invited anyway.

Below are my top picks for Best Dressed.

As it is a men's magazine launch party, let's start with the boys.

Borgy Manotoc rocks a short suit combo which is fitting as it was hot, literally, in Manila Pen that night. Not sure if the air conditioning unit was broken or it was because the place was packed!!!

Esquire's Food and Wine Expert Erwan Heussaff dons a slim suit from Joey Samson.
Plus points for the floppy velvet bow tie.

Mike Concepcion dons a navy blue (?!?) double-breasted suit.

Next in line is Carlos Concepcion in a crop pant suit with a bright orange pocket square.

Designer Rajo Laurel rocks a three-piece suit in Manila weather, Good Luck with that!

Nino Gaddi on a bright blue blazer! BBB!

Now, onto the ladies who did not disappoint. I've read a tweet that the Esquire Ball was just like prom only sluttier! LOL! Well, there were an abundance of skin for the ladies, it was either a slit to up there or a cleavage up to there! Or sometimes even both.

In no particular order,

Preview Magazine's Beauty Editor Agoo Bengzon

Sarah Meier-Albano in a bright red orange number by Sassa Jimenez.
50% Bohemian, 50% tribal, 100% Chic!

TV Host Bianca Gonzales looked fun and flirty in a fringed dress by Perry + Robin

Preview's Daryl Chang in a leg-baring, arm-covering dress.

An amazingly tall-looking lady, Arci Munoz dons a strapless art deco print gown.

In full bloom!
Andi Eigenmann in a bright dress and pregnant-appropriate wedges.

Phoemela Baranda is "le smoking" in a cleavage baring tuxedo by Rajo Laurel.

Philippines' premiere fashion goddess Anne Curtis in a sexy, plum Rajo Laurel gown, Jil Sander Heels and Jul B. Dizon jewelry.

Divine Lee looks amazing in a super sexy Rajo Laurel (again) gown.
Woot Woot!

Sheer Thrill!
Bianca Valerio sizzles in a Joel Escober gown.
I think she is missing some layers of fabric for her skirt. LOL!

Sheer it is. Seems like there was a dress code on sheer fabrics!
Maxene Magalona looks fresh and fierce in a sheer cut-out gown by Veejay Floresca and Jul B. Dizon jewelry.

Also in sheer and in Rajo Laurel, Cherie Gil rocks a white jumpsuit with sheer panels.
Watch out for the red wine sister!

Cleavage in all angles! Bubbles Paraiso in a fiery red cut-out gown.

Georgina Wilson rocks a healthy tan with a sheer Martin Bautista dress and Jul B. Dizon jewelry.

Preview's EIC and a mother of three (!) Pauline Juan wore Rajo Laurel.

Fun and Fab in a Jun Escario number.
Liz Uy looks amazing in this sequined gown.

So was your favorite! Do tell!
