White Knuckles

This post is way long overdue. I had been sick from last week until now and had totally forgotten about this. This is from the guys of Ok Go which I had blogged before here. It seems like it had been done in a single take which is amazing in itself. One more thing, this video has cute little dogs and DOGS in it, so what's not to like? I really enjoy the occasional post on animals here in my blog. See?

Under the Sign of the Lion

Haute Couture, french for high sew, and what better way to celebrate its grandeur than by a behemoth lion sculpture? Just like what Karl Lagerfeld had done for Chanel Couture show in Grand Palais in Paris, France.

The 12-meter or almost 40 feet sculpture had taken 30 sculptors three months to create from aluminum over a metal frame.It is made of Styrofoam material and painted to make it seem like gold except the ball the front paw is resting on, which looks like a large pearl.

The clothes on the other hand looks wearable enough yet very, very, very luxurious. Day clothes came out first. There were cropped tweed jackets paired with knee-length skirt. For the evening, dresses were gilded and/or hand-beaded to death. Enough taking, below are the photos.

Actually Back Again Part Zoo!

This is another post with pictures from my SG trip. One of the highlights of this trip would probably be the trip to Singapore Zoo. Surprisingly, the Zoo is just a short taxi ride from my brother's house so finding it wasn't hard. It was my brother's birthday that day and I was singing in my head. What song?

I forgot the latter part of the song. Anyway, we got to see a ton of animals! (Of course, as if I wasn't expecting that!!!) We saw different kinds of monkeys, elephants!, deers, zebras, giraffes, white tigers, gnus,,, you know I can go on and on but I'll post pictures instead.

The Largest Land Mammal Alive

Elephants, they are the largest land mammals alive. They are symbols of wisdom and Asian cultures and are known for their sharp memory and intelligence.

I am sharing this because I had acquired a metal elephant pendant necklace last week and have worn it the whole day last Sunday. Also, I am always fascinated by elephants. We have two elephant figurines at home and those are probably older than me. I forgot to take a picture of them, though. :) But I do have a picture of my necklace.

I got some weird comments from wearing it. One old lady from our church said I am getting stronger because I was able to utilize and elephant as a necklace. A young man thought the craftsmanship was great although it was quite heavy for him. (after wearing it the whole day, I had to agree...)
