Cut and Paste

Tomorrow is a special non-working day in Taguig City because of its anniversary of city-hood. Yay! And to kill some time, Here is an idea.

Cut and Paste

This age old technique used in making collages since we were kids is being employed in a fashion spread for Dazed&Confused magazine. For its December 2010 issue, Photographer Damien Blottiere and Dazed's Robbie Spencer captures Calvin Klein's elegant take on minimalism in this shoot.

It features models Christian Ochsenfahrt (Major) and Victoire Macon Dauxerre (Elite).

Here are more pictures.

Plus a video. Not necessarily a behind-the-scene look from the shoot, the video is another platform where they had taken the creative idea of the shoot into a movement.

In the words of the photographer,

"After the shoot and the collage process we did with Robbie, I wanted to bring a movement to those fixed images. Working on a collage is like painting but using scissors and a cutter. I cut the lines, I build shapes on paper and faces. The video is trying to reflect the whole process, from the emotion you got while shooting a model to what I'm searching for underneath, following features. You have to hitch the skin to find sensitivity".

Here's the video.

So, grab some scissors and get cutting. Then, grab some glue and get pasting! LOL.

Holidays are Glee - full!

Indeed they are!

Thanks to the guys from glee and their Christmas album. Add the new episode airing tomorrow and these videos I got from youtube.

First is Lea Michele singing a somber Merry Christmas Darling. How cute is she? I love the red floppy beret she wore on this number.

Then we have the Dalton duo, Kurt and Blaine singing Baby, It's Cold Outside. Side note: It's hot outside here in Manila.

So, what do you think?

A Very Glee Christmas

Happy Christmas!

 Christmas Sweaters Galore

This week marks the last episode of Glee for 2010. Sad news, yes... but, it will be the Christmas episode. So, cheer up. In relation to their episode, they had released a Christmas album with all the wonderful carols which will be in infinite rotation on music players worldwide.

The episode has a whole lot of exciting things happening. It has Finn trying to bring a little holiday spirit to McKinley by bringing a Christmas tree to the choir room. Also,  Artie discovers that Brittany still believes in Santa. Plus the teachers pick out their Secret Santa while some coach rigs the the gift-giving factor. Hmm, I wonder who that will be? LOL!

Anyway. here are some photos from the episode and some behind the scenes, too.

That was a whole lot of Wemma pictures in random Christmas colors!
The entire Glee Club in matching sweaters and scarves

And a closer shot.

Why are these two together? And they look genuinely happy!?!

Lea Michele all covered up in Red
