Paris would be incomplete without these two fashion houses, Alexander McQueen and Chanel.
Let's start with the one of the most significant show on the entire Spring 2011 season, Alexander McQueen. This is the first runway show after the designer took his own life last February which left the entire design process to Sarah Burton, now creative director. Although Sarah said they would not be doing a theatrical runway as it is not her style, but the designs are very similar to what Mr McQueen would have done. Here are the photos.

very good indeed!
Now onto Chanel. The show was held on the Grand Palais done in what seems to be a black and white version of a formal garden. Their inspiration is a 1961 film Last Year at Marienbad, and extended in three directions, with an orchestra at the end of one. Clothes were light and airy in contrast to the fur suits Karl did last fall. Enjoy these photos. A couple highlights include Brad Kroenig's two-year old son, and Ines de la Fressange!
one word - Amazing!
Smile Ms. de la Fressange
FTW!
See yah later!
