Tonight We Gon' Be It On The Floor

What? I don't understand the title, too! It's from J'Lo's hit single "On the Floor".

I have always been a fan of Jennifer Lopez since I was in highschool. That was a looooooooooooong time ago! And I am so glad that she's back on the music scene. She had just released a single from her new album Love? titled "On The Floor".

From  being an Epic Records star, she is now under Island Def Jam Music Group. Although she had released some singles awhile back, it didn't catch up on the radio. This time though, On The Floor is ripping up the charts! In the United States, "On the Floor" made its first chart debut on the Hot Dance Club Songs, debuting at number twenty-six. Additionally it debuted on the US Pop Songs chart at number forty, marking Lopez's first appearance on Pop airplay charts since 2007. "On the Floor" was also noted for being the first song to debut in the top-ten and climb up the chart in its second week.

On the Floor features sample from a 1989 song "Lambada" which plays on her Latin roots. The song and the video is an ode to her Latin roots and to being a back up dancer before making it big. It also features rapper Pitbull.

And so, here is the video. I can't believe she's turning 41 this year! You can see how fit she is on the video. And this video had around 50 million views in time of posting! Good job!

What do you think? Like it? Love it? I am so glad she's back and I even get to see her every week on TV as American Idol's likeable judge.

See I Will Get Over You

No, I am not about to post on moving on as the tile might suggest. It's from Neon Hitch's hit entitled "Get Over U" and I can't get over this song.

Released last January, it has grown on me! Even the slightly creepy and wierd video.

Let's talk about Neon Hitch first. Born in South England, she was a daughter of a lighting technician father. Her mom brought a caravan for them to live in when their house burned down. She started writing poems at a tender age of ten which led to lyrics, and to singing them. (She wrote Ke$ha's Blah Blah Blah)

Anyway, here is the video.

What do you think?

Her album, Beg, Borrow and Steal is now available.

Glee's Originality Shines

Hello Everyone! Miss me? Probably not, but I did miss a lot of blogging. I have been busy with work lately and couldn't find the time to blog...

Anyway, did you guys watch Glee's latest episode? The title for that would be "Original Song", where the New Directions come up with their, well, original song for Regionals. This would not be a recap, its a little, okay, very late for that. So, allow me to share some videos instead!

Let's start with The guys over at Dalton Academy. Yes, I kinda feel like Darren Criss (Blaine) is getting all the solos for The Warblers. Kurt feels the same way, too. The song, btw, is "Misery" originally by Maroon 5.

Next is New Directions with their Original Songs. Lea Michele (Rachel) does a superb job on her solo, "Get it Right". Although I am slightly bothered by the leggings and boots combo, I'mma make it pass. Oh, and if you watched the ep, you'll know she wrote the song while crying, I mean that's TALENT!

And, Ladies and Gentlemen, New Directions singing "Loser Like Me". Which is like singing about what Sue Sylvester had done to them, literally!!!

 Enjoy!

Oh, they have a new album out! The tracks includes the original songs featured in original song!

 See yah later soon!

BTW, Happy Anniversary to this blog! 1 year has come and gone! Woot woot!

From Runway to Red Carpet: 83rd Academy Awards

Its better safe than sorry may be the quote on everyone's lips for the Annual Oscar's Bash! The stars dressed up in the usual silhouette from couture houses and here is the down low.

And I know this may be a week late, but it can also be said that it is better late than never!

In random order.

One half of the Oscar hosts and red carpet veteran, Anne Hathaway
was breath-taking in a red vintage Valentino gown.
The gown was part of the Fall 2002 Haute Couture collection.
Tiffany & Co. jewels finishes up the look.

She walked down the red carpet with Mr. Valentino himself.
This would be gown one of the many she wore that night.
She might not be a good host but she does look pretty that night.

Also in red and just as gorgeous is Sandra Bullock.
She wore a stunning Vera Wang strapless gown and Harry Winston jewels.
I see a trend here.

Jennifer Lawrence might be a newbie in the industry but
she has perfected the red carpet look down pat!
She wore a red Calvin Klein Collection dress, with Chopard jewels and a Judith Leiber clutch.
This might not be as red as her counterparts but is just as hot.
Penelope Cruz who just had a baby looked amazing
in an L'Wren Scott Spring 2011 gown.
The sequins on her gown might not be enough for her
for she added Chopard jewels to her look.

On to other colors:
the nude, blush, pink, white, gray, and other light colors were also a big trend that night.

Michelle Williams and her pixie hair looked awesome in a Chanel Spring 2011 couture gown.
I love that the gown was fitted to her body than the runway look adding just the right amount of sexy.
Harry Winston jewels completes her look.

Cate Blanchett wore a stunning Givenchy Spring 2011 Couture gown.
Although not a lot of people liked this look, I for one love this!
I thought the look was perfect, it was a little avant-garde but not too much that it might ruin the formallity of the event.
She added Van Cleef &Arpels jewels to her look.

Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine was present at the event for some singing.
Though she still had the guts to walk the carpet, good thing she did!
She looked beautiful in a Valentino Spring 2011 couture gown.

15-year old wonder Hailee Steinfeld looked cute as a button in a frothy Marchesa gown.
She added Salvatore Ferragamo shoes and clutch.
Dressing her age might not be easy for some, though.

Looking every bit unlike her lesbian character in Black Swan,
Mila Kunis brought sexy in the red carpet in a lilac couture gown from Elie Saab.
The gown is from the Spring 2011 Couture collection.
Neil Lane jewels finishes up her look.

Gwyneth Paltrow look can be summarized in two words, Shimmery and Sleek!
The shimmery gown is from Calvin Klein Collection
and she added Louis Vuitton jewels for her look.
Girl got some mixed metal flavor in the silver gown and gold jewels.

Mandy Moore looked cute in a stunning Monique Lhuillier Spring 2011 gown.
I wish she has offsetted the pretty gown with some edge, though.
Harry Winston jewels was what she added.
Nicole Kidman went a little vintage donning a Spring 2009 gown from Christian Dior.
She added some color via Pierre Hardy footwear.

Here are a few red carpet looks that are a little worthy of attention.
Natalie Portman wore a pretty but kinda boring Rodarte gown.
She's pregnant though, so I forgive her.
And finally Matthew McConaughey's main squeeze, Camila Alves.
She looked amazing in this black gown from Kaufman Franco.
I'm pretty sure she is the reason Matthew's smiling like that.

Paper USB

Flash Drives, USB Flash, Thumb Drives, no matter what people call them, we cannot be connected without them. They are usually where we store up files or photos to share, documents that needs to be taken elsewhere. These little tools are everywhere!

And so the guys from Art. Lebedev Studio created a disposable one called Flashkus. They are made of cardboard stock and comes in sets of four. They are easily seperated by perforations.

They are available in 16gb, 8gb and 4gb units.

The paper surface allows you to write easily on them.

They would be perfect gifts to anyone!

Too Busy To Blog

Sorry about the lack of posts lately. I have been very busy with the requirements for my new job. Yes, I now have a job which involves me, a computer, a phone and some more people around me. This means, I may be too busy for blogging. Awww! I may still be able to blog once a week perhaps.

Let me just share some photos taken during the last month or so here in Singapore. Enjoy!

Chinese New Year here in SG is a huge holiday,
so we managed to drag ourselves to
Singapore Botanic Garden and had a blast!

I wore a white peacock-print shirt, gray denim jeans and trusty converse sneakers.

There you go, and I tried the ubiquitous blogger pose. LOL

And then a couple of Sundays ago, I got to ride this baby!
The world's largest observation wheel, Singapore Flyer.

My brother did not bring his big ol' camera lens, so I never really had a full body shot.
But, I think I was wearing white sneakers here. I maybe wrong of course.

I had just finished watching Black Swan when we rode on the flyer.
That might explain my wings.

See you soon!

I am a bit back logged on blogging, so I may be able to post a couple more today.
