Glee: Special Education - The Videos

Here are some videos for Glee's Ninth Episode titled Special Education. For more information, check out my other post.

Kurt transferred to Dalton Academy for hopes of a more welcoming scene and maybe, love?

Anyway, enough talking. Here are the videos. These are five in total, so enjoy!

Preview #1
Kurt is welcomed as the new addition to The Warblers with a canary! Yes, how amazing yet weird is that? Tweet Tweet!

Preview #2
Let the council come to order for the Sectional song set list. Kurt seems overly excited to share his thoughts about the sectionals, and I mean over!

Preview #3
Kurt gets a chance to audition for the Sectional Solo, he'll probably sing "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina".

But wait, there's more!
Here's a sneak peek courtesy of Kurt and Blaine over at Dalton Academy.

And finally, the full performance of "Hey, Soul Sister" from Train sung by The Warblers
Kurt looks a little off but that's what the writers and director wants probably. Though, I like the fact that most of the New Direction kids were happy for him, I really hope he comes back.

Special Education

Another Glee post, this time about episode nine. The title is "Special Education" although I am unsure of the specifics. From what I know, it is season two's Sectionals episode. New Direction minus Kurt would be up against The Hipsters from a rival school and Dalton Acandemy's The Warblers plus Kurt. Confusing? Guess not!

Now that Kurt has transferred to Dalton, New Direction would be missing one member. And it seems the girl from the AV club, which names escapes me now will be New Directions new member. See evidence below.
center, see her? Can someone ID her for me?

Anyway, here is the official description.

New Directions heads to the big Sectionals competition to go head-to-head against the Warblers and the Hipsters. While trouble brews between some of the young couples, Emma and Carl (guest star Stamos) grow closer in the all-new “Special Education” of Glee

Here is the list of songs featured on this episode.

1. "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina" from Evita sung by Lea Michele (Rachel)
2. "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina" from Evita sung by Chris Colfer (Kurt)
3. "Dog Days are Over" originally by Florence + The Machine will be performed by New Directions
4. "The Living Years" by Mike and the Mechanics sung by rival glee club The Hipsters
5. "Hey, Soul Sister" from Train is sung by Darren Criss (Blaine) and the rest of The Warblers
6. "Valerie" from Zutons is performed by Naya Rivera
7. "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" from Dirty Dancing will be performed by Dianna Agron (Quinn) and Chord Overstreet (Sam)

Yep, Kurt and Rachel in an almost diva-off for Don't Cry for Me, Argentina. Guess they'll be singing that as their own respective ballad for Sectionals. Kudos for Naya (Santana) for getting a well-deserved solo.

Reactions are soooo welcome.

Thirty Twenty Ten

No, I am not counting backwards in tens. This is a celebration of 30 years of wonderful pinoy fashion with Inno Sotto.

Inno, a sought after pinoy fashion designer, is celebrating his 30 years in the industry with Thirty Twenty Ten. 30 years is no small feat, it shows longevity, of constant inspiration and of innovation.

Last November 14, at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Inno Sotto summons the "Muse". His collection focuses on the romantics and the modern. The show was divided into three, hence, 30, 20, and 10. It also is synonymous to his new fragrance available on department stores in the Philippines.

Here are the photos for 30. The scent for 30 is "Sleep" which evokes nostalgia. The looks are predominantly done in black. Accessories are designed in collaboration by Bea Valdes.

20 or Sunset, is less romantic and more about being in the moment. Casual separates describe the looks for this set. Though black is still used, beige is added to add interest.

The last set is of course, 10 or Sunrise, it is the chance of to do and undo things. It is about creation, a beginning of something. Long flowy gowns are what 10 is made up of. With colors ranging from black to beige, grays to purples, the last set is astoundingly beautiful.

And the show ended with Inno's muse, Heart Evangelista.

Destroy and Enjoy

Photographer Paul Fairchild created a series of art from destroyed Apple products. Yes, you read that right. He purchased new Apple products, destroys them and turns them into wonderful works of art.

The concept came after Michael Tompert found his sons fighting over an iPod Touch with a certain game on it. He threw it on the ground smashing it.

There were 12 images created with Paul Fairchild. All products were brought new, btw. Another fun trivia, Tompert is a former Apple employee and has nothing but admiration to products of Apple.

Tompert has destroyed iPhone 4, the iPads, iPod nanos and Macbook Airs.

Enjoy these photos.

Boom! an iPhone 3G White with a bullet hole.
iPod touch and its golden insides

The iPad was almost indestructible, he uses a soldering torch to heat it until it blows.

What seems to be a bullet ridden iPad. Ouch!
MacBook Air, burned and shattered.
Sliced Wireless Mouse. Weird, I know!

A newly destroyed iPhone 4. Beautiful, right?

The images were intended to be humorous and tongue in cheek. It also shows that these are just mere objects and that we should never live our lives for them.

Lanvin Hearts H&M

Yesterday marks the launch of the Lanvin Hearts H&M line.

And the lovable Alber Elbaz has put up a "Haute Couture" show last November 18 for it. It was held at The Pierre Hotel in New York City and features reworked outfits which will be sold for charity.

The runway was a true testament to Lanvin's fun and colorful design philosophy. We should also note that Anna dello Russo walked the runway with a poodle. Too cute for words.

Below are some photos from the launch the runway.

Sofia Coppola

Anna Sui

Tory Burch

Guido Palau, Pat McGrath, and Vogue's Grace Coddington

The Daily Telegraph's Hilary Alexander.

The runway opened with this adorable tulle dress on Nimue Smit.

Shirley Mallmannas Miss Lanvin in a tuxedo and a walking cane.

Twins? Not really, Kendra Spears and Heidi Mount wear the same dress.

Pretty in pink, Anna dello Russo walks the dog on the runway.

RED ALERT!

And The Award Goes to...

Chris Colfer!

What award you might ask? GQ's Diva of the Year for 2010. A party was held to celebrate this momentous event and alongside awardees for Men of the Year, the glee guys attended the soiree.

The guys from GQ Magazine had been doing the men of the year for their December issue and this year is no exception. The other winners include, Scarlett Johanssen for Babe of the Year, Jeff Bridges for Icon of the Year, and James Franco for Leading Man of the Year. For the complete list of winners, head out to GQ.com. For more photos of the Glee guys, check them out below.

Leading the pack is Cory Monteith who plays Finn Hudson on Glee.
Is he wearing a short-sleeved shirt under his suit jacket? How did I know that? The cuffs are missing from the end of the jacket sleeves.

Mark Salling who plays Noah Puckerman went casual to the party.

Nice shirt, Puckerman!

Kevin McHale who plays wheel-bound kid Artie was also in attendance.
He wears a slightly casual look in a suit jacket, knit cardigan and brown shoes.
Wait, no bowtie?

Also in attendance is Harry Shum Jr..
He plays Mike Chang/Other Asian/The Situ-Asian on Glee.

Glee newcomer Chord Overstreet arrives at the GQ Men of the Year looking very dapper in a gray suit.

He admits into liking suits in the sneak peek for Episode 6 and it shows.
He also looks good in them.

I can't forget the ladies, although only one came.
Jayma Mays who plays Emma Pillsbury looks stunning in this black and white dress.
She completes the look with black strappy sandals, red clutch, and a smile.

Glee sandwich!
