The title just means "haircut" in the French language. And no, I don't actually know how to speak French. I just used a nifty website for translating it for me. Anyway, below are my photos. I am not sure if I like the haircut though.

Vintage Guetta
We all know who David Guetta is, a French house producer and DJ, he had collaborated with so many artist. Allow me to name drop: Akon, Britney Spears, Madonna, Kelly Rowland, Estelle, and will.i.am to name a few. He is soooo mainstream pop right now and I terribly miss the old David Guetta of 2007.
I have included videos of some of his songs back then. Note that he uses the same girl in both videos.
Baby When The Light
Delirious (My personal favorite)
Enjoy!
album cover for Pop Life, this is his 2007 album which was very successful in the UK, Ireland and as well as in mainland Europe
David Guetta's 4th album, One Love, features Kelly Rowland for the song When Love Takes Over and a bunch of other artists

Jollibee and Glee
Filipino Gleeks unite!
On Glee's last episode, Dream On, during the Artie's dream dance scene. One familiar face popped up. Its none other than Pinoy's favorite fast food mascot Jollibee.
Everyone was pleasantly surprised (including Jollibee executives) that a Filipino brand would have been shown at a highly regarded show as Glee!
Anyway below is a video from Yahoo! Just look at the top right of the video beneath the escalators going up.

On My Way
Found a great music video on Youtube last week and I wanted to share it with my readers (haha! first time I used the word.). The band is called "Izabo". They are an Israeli band with musical style ranging from indie rock, disco and Middle Eastern music.
Izabo’s music has been described as a “Brilliant, action packed combination of Psychedelic Rock, Disco, Punk and Arabic spices”, or, if we are to name-drop, like an unlikely cross between Led Zeppelin, the Talking Heads, and Om Koltom. Featuring high-to-ultra-high vocals, twisting and expressive Arab-flavored guitar work, powerfully funky bass lines, arrogantly catchy keyboards and intense disco beats, Izabo have established themselves as one of Israel’s most absorbing live acts.
Here's a little of their history from their site. Their debut album, "The Fun Makers" was released in Israel in 2003 to rave reviews marking the band as the biggest alternative success in its native country. Following “The Fun Makers” success, Izabo were signed to SONY BMG and release “The Morning Hero EP” in the UK the same year.
Their second LP, SuperLight was released in July 2008. The first single out of the LP is "Slow Disco", released on June 16, 2008.

On March 2010 the band released a music video for their song "On My Way" using Apple Inc.'s iPhone. And here is their video!

I am Love
I had recently followed Dazed and Confused magazine in twitter and as a thank you gift, they sent me a link to their May 2010 issue which has Tilda Swinton on the cover. (yay! I could not be more excited) As some of you might know, I am totally obsessing with British actress Tilda Swinton. I previously blogged about her here.
Below are screen shots from Dazed Digital, most of which are of course Tilda Swinton!

Prepped Up Nautical
Nautical fashion always pop up during the summer season that it is not considered a trend anymore but more of a style. This year, I have considered of trying this style but I wanted to add some preppy-ness to it. And thankfully, I got a striped shirt that may be considered as such. It has the colors navy and white, which is the most popular color for nautical styles.
As always, I done a little research for this style and below are the photos.

Springing in on Summer
There had been some fashion news about a trend this spring summer 2010 about a slightly new silhouette in man pants. Harem, or some would call drop-crotch, are finally hitting Philippine stores and I could not be more ecstatic. This trend started probably last 2007 but did not catch on everyone until this year. Most or at least some designers has included harem pants on their collection for SS2010.
Here in Manila, Folded and Hung, one of the leading clothing company in the Philippines had introduced them for their Mediterranean inspired summer collection.

Hello Yellow!
I have been obsessed with the color yellow this summer. It started when I needed a new strap for my watch (BTW, the watch is my mom's. It's probably a gift from one of our relatives and I borrowed it indefinitely. read: forever!). Anyway, the original strap was a black patent crocodile leather but since it is missing one of the strap holders, I decided to hit the mall and have it re-strapped. I originally wanted a canvas strap instead of leather but the store did not carry it. So, I chose a yellow Italian Lizard strap.
When I am obsessed with something, I usually do a little research for it and here's what I discovered.
Yellow, in the English language, has been traditionally associated with cowardice. In American Slang, a coward can be said to be yellowbellied or yellowed. Ethnographically, the term yellow has been used as a slang term for Asians. In Italy, yellow (giallo) refers to real and fictional crime stories. This association began in about 1930, when the first series of crime novels published in Italy had yellow covers. There is a term called yellow movie which can refer to pornographic films in Chinese cultures. The ancient Mayans associated the color yellow with the direction of the South.

Seeing Double
Denim, that is... Double Denim, this trend had been on runways for Spring Summer 2010 and everyone had been doing it lately. I had been seeing this on blogs everywhere and even Hollywood celebrities had jumped on this trend. (see photos below, because no one reads post without photos!)
Fortunately, I had some denim shirt somewhere in my closet that I haven't worn in a while and of course, denim jeans (I mean, who doesn't own one! Who am I kidding?). So here is my photo wearing my own version of a Canadian tuxedo. I have read somewhere that in order for you to carry a good denim on denim look, make sure they are not of the same wash. I wore bleached denim pants and the aforementioned denim shirt on this photo.
BTW, I remember Britney and Justin wore a full denim on denim on denim look back when they were pop's biggest couple. Good thing, my look didn't remind people of them.
